As the school year wraps up here at UCCF, I’m feeling a lot of gratitude.

It’s been a really full and meaningful semester on our campuses. We’ve shared meals, had honest conversations, asked big questions, and all in spaces where students can show up as they are. There’s been a lot of laughter, some really sacred moments, and so many glimpses of the Spirit moving among us.

And now, it’s summer, and my first summer as the director of UCCF.

Students are heading home, starting summer jobs and internships, taking classes, or just taking a well-deserved breath. And our weekly gatherings pause.

Summer just looks a little different. It’s a season for staying in touch with students as they navigate transitions, reflecting on the year, and beginning to plan and dream about what’s next. It’s for attending different denominational meetings (if you’re at Synod Assembly or Annual Conference coming up later this month, please come and say hi!), and visiting our area churches to say thank you for all they do for us! A lot of the behind-the-scenes work that makes fall possible happens right now.

It’s also a time when financial support tends to dip a bit.

So if you’ve been part of supporting this ministry—thank you. You’re part of every meal, every conversation, every space of belonging we’ve created together.

And if you’ve been thinking about giving, summer is actually a really meaningful time to start. A recurring monthly gift—whatever amount feels doable—helps keep things steady during these quieter months and sets us up well for the fall.

Thanks for being part of this community in whatever way you are. It really does take all of us, and I’m so grateful!
