UCCF had an amazing Holy Week! From Palm Sunday to Good Friday, we explored different local churches and experienced so many unique worship styles and traditions. Each service brought something special, and sharing this journey together made our week even more meaningful. We are grateful for the connections, the reflections, and the chance to grow closer as a community.
UCCF student intern JT's favorite stop on our Holy Week Tour was Palm Sunday. They shared, "Holy Week was awesome. It was cool to see how different churches worshiped".
In total Pastor Laurie and students worshiped with four different congregreagtions over five holy week services (Saturday's Easter Vigil was a last minute addition!).
Easter Sunday was a celebration of new life, new connections, and shared hope! Worship, community, and laughter reminded us that resurrection is for everyone—and that together, we can live into the love and joy of this day. Then students enjoyed Easter lunch and a lamb cake!
"During Holy Week, we got to go to beautiful services and connect with local churches. It was great having a bunch of other students coming along, too!," shared UCCF student intern Caitlyn.
We celebrate the opportunity to share in these holy days with UCCF students and partner congregations around Grand Rapids.
